Join the crew of Pacific Terrific, 3 women set to make history and break records rowing the Pacific Ocean in June 2018 for Mind and against Plastic Pollution, for an adventure filled evening of Terrific Tales: Wild Words and Inspiration!

Enjoy amazing stories of adventure from 4x World-Record holder Roz Savage MBE, World-Record holder Chris Martin, and all round inspirational adventurer Alex Mason. Gain an insight into Ocean Rowing and what the Pacific Terrific crew may face in up to 2 months unsupported at sea. Hear more of what’s driving Cazz, Megan & Andrea – who between them have previously sailed thousands of miles between continents, scaled mountains across the globe, swam the channel (twice!) and completed ultra-marathons, plus quit the rat race in search of a more adventurous life – to aim to become the first EVER crew of three to row the Pacific Ocean (male or female), plus break a few other Guinness World Records in the process!

The evening is set to be a great opportunity to meet and engage with like minded souls. You just never know where a chance encounter and a shared idea or dream may lead, so do come, join us, share with us, be part of our journey to the start of the Great Pacific Race, and let us be part of yours wherever it may lead!

There is a bar, there will be a raffle with some great prizes, and it would be great to see you there!

***MEET THE SPEAKERS***

Roz Savage MBE – “Pacific, Plastic, Purpose & Perseverance”

Roz is the first (and so far only) woman to row solo across the world’s “Big Three” oceans: Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian. She holds four Guinness World Records, and was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to fundraising and the environment.

Chris Martin – “The History of Pacific Ocean Rowing and What Pacific Terrific Can Expect!”

Chris is a record-setting ocean rower and athlete, having rowed at international level for six years and won a medal at each of the six World Championships where he raced. Chris solo rowed the Atlantic in 2005, and in 2009, Chris earned a Guinness World Record as part of the first team to row across the North Pacific from Japan to San Francisco.

Alex Mason – “From Mexico to Canada and Back – 5,300 Miles on the Pacific Crest Trail”

Alex took a sabbatical from her job in 2015 to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada. It was a decision that was to change the course of her life, and in 2016 she returned to hike the trail from Canada to Mexico, becoming one of only a handful of people to have completed the route in both directions.

– All proceeds from the event will directly support the Pacific Terrific crew in their endeavour to become the first crew of 3 (male or female) ever to row the mid-pacific, and their goals of raising awareness of plastic pollution within our oceans, and funds for Mind. Thank you for your support!
